the writer should design a PID controller to control a “Second Order Plus Time Delay” (SOPTD) system. A closed-loop control system is modeled in Simulink using common blocks first. the writer would then design a parallel PID controller for system closed-loop control. Further tuning of the control gains would be required to reach a desired performance.
