TOPIC 1
Dubai SME 100 is a premier ranking of Dubai’s 100 top performing SMEs, launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development (Dubai SME).
You are a consultant who has been engaged by one of the Dubai SME 100 companies to review and develop their corporate governance framework. Critically review and analyze the existing governance framework from the perspective of “Nine-pillars to good corporate governance”, and identify capability gaps for improvement. Provide appropriate recommendation for filling the capability gaps and improving the governance mechanism. The client has requested that the framework emphasize on openness and integrity in the relationships with the stakeholders and minimization of risks. Your report should be based on your own independent research and critical analysis, refer to appropriate academic literature, including journal articles.

TOPIC 2
You are a consultant who has been engaged by a company to assist it in the development and implementation of a risk management strategy with the aim of reducing the risk to the company of any criminal liability and reputational damage arising from fraud, corruption and other inappropriate activities that could arise in its procurement activities and relations with suppliers. Your report should explain the principles of sound risk management, with a particular focus on identifying and preventing activities of this sort, and discuss the challenges of introducing a successful risk management strategy in the company. Your report should be based on your own, independent research and critical analysis, refer to appropriate academic literature, including journal articles, and be supported with real life examples.
