Project 1
Research and in your own words write a brief report (no more than 2-3 pages) on the Rankine cycle and Gas turbine cycle and explain how they come together to increase the efficiency of the power generation process.
In the report please also
• Explain how the Rankine cycle works and explain where the greatest losses in efficiency are.
• Explain how the GT cycle works.
• Diagrams of the two cycles on a Temperature entropy diagram.
• What limits the temperatures of these cycles?
