MULTIPLE Reference has to support point you making. Constant referencing. For example, while writing about an advantage and disadvantage of one point, it’s need to be as below . advantage is …………………….. which is supported by Jones 2014; blog 1996, parkes 2015. while according to sara 2014; blm 1996, marks 2015 this has some disadvantages which is ……….. this is called a constant reference.
Also a way of critically use the literature review is to based our discussion on main article covering the interested area and then reference several articles that believe on his view. For example : aaa (2010) believe that ……………. which is supported by Jones 2014; blog 1996 and parkes, 2015. So we need a critical appraisal by making a point and support it by many reference
.A bad way of writing is by saying xx said this and yy said that ( which may not allow us to pass the course.
The aim of this course is to show how we critically write from journals only. No websites. It’s shows our engagement with the Literature review.

Writing a literature review – a critical examination of the subject
Step 1: search
•Look for articles that encompass the subject that you are studying.
•Print or save them. Have a system. Code them.
Step 2: read
•Read your articles. Code the contents of the articles.
Step 3: pick out the emergent themes
•Which are the most prolific themes?
•List them. Use these themes as headings
Step 4: write
•Use the themes as section headings
•Provide an overview for each theme. This should be a synoptic examination of the literature/theme.
•You must support ALL assertions with references, and these references MUST be from journal articles.
•Compare, contrast and critique. Bring together convergent findings/statements, and find opposing findings/statements to give an objective overview of the situation. REFERENCE EVERYTHING
•Consider structure and flow. Which themes are the most important? Which follow on naturally from others?
•Signposting! (tell reader what’s coming, tell them about it tell them what you have told them )
Step 5: review/rewrite
•Be objective – read it yourself. Be critical.
The selected subject is social media advertising:
First we may need to discusses social media , boundaries, importance , background. Maybe traditional vs. social media advertising. Guidance in page 1 & 2 .
Then the main purpose is to read many articles and to draw themes (around 5-7) with a subthemes (3-4) for each them that connect the social media with the theme and subtheme.
For example : I can select a them called (brand loyalty), then an example of how to write :
Brand loyalty can be encourage by the use of social media advertising(SM) (Jones 2014; blog 1996, parkes, 2015) however, there is also finding that SM can affect brand loyalty negatively (smaith, 2016).
While sub themes could be relevance of brand loyalty, popularity and relationships (brand & consumer ) with SM
