Personal Leadership Project Part 2

My leadership opportunity that I was working on is, that I’m the president of a club in Oregon State University named “Qatari Student Association” club.
I’m the president of the club from 2012 till today.

Small description about the club:
1. We help all new Qatari students that come to study in Oregon State University. For example, we help them to locate important buildings and locations around the university and around Corvallis. Also, we help them opening bank accounts, get phone numbers and even finding them apartments with decent prices.
2. We represent our country Qatar, in many cultural events in the university. For example, for the last 3 years we’ve been participating in Etihad Community Cultural events that located in the university and last year we had more than 2,000 visitors to our booth ( Qatar’s booth ).
3. We are now working very hard for our 4th participation in ECC event which will be on the 15th of May. So far we meet 3 times with more than 40 Qataris students to collect new ideas for this year’s event.
4. We engaged in many community’s events every year to give back to the Corvallis community and the university community.

The book name is “Act Like a Leader, Think Like a Leader”.
